DHSC deputy director who is responsible for MCA, Safeguarding and DoLS joined the CPA's meeting yesterday to give an update following the Supreme Court ruling.

Basic government guidance is to be issued in the next few days, with more information to follow in 6-8 weeks.

In the meantime the advice is 'do not panic'. There is no need to do anything to revoke existing DoLS. 

The CPA were also joined by LGA/ADASS later in the meeting and were told that ADASS advice is to do nothing different until there is more guidance.
